The Cross

I was at a women's retreat and the topic was on John15:5. In that verse, Jesus talks about how he is the vine and we are the branches. He then goes on to say that we are to bear much fruit. At that moment, I recalled the image of a cross that was printed on the front of a program I had kept from a church that my sister Audra and I had visited a few years ago. The cross stood out in my mind and I knew once I arrived back home I was to use that cross on one of my vases. When I got home and looked at the cross on the program, I noticed at the bottom of the cross was writen " I am the vine, and you are the branches." John15:5

It was a joy to create, and a truly beautiful communication with my Creator.

Alaska

I haven't had the opportunity to travel to Alaska but many people say this piece reminds them of that big state.

Composite form.

I'll have a Tall Tea, no sugar please.

One of my favorite things to create is a composite form. For those unaware, a composite piece is created when you have more then two formed pieces and you connect them together to make one big beautiful form of art.
When random people meet for the first time and start to become acquainted with each other, they find they have more in common than they realize. They connect, they come together as friends, or they might even come together as one when married...

The pitcher and cups are made out of porcelain clay and then glazed only on the inside with a cranberry glaze.
