In the movie Chariots of Fire, Eric Liddell, who's the main charector in the movie, explains to his sister, Jenny, why running it so importent to him. He says, "Jenny, God made me for a purpose, He also made me fast. And when I run, I feel His pleasure. To give it up would be to hold Him contempt. To win, is to honor Him."
